I pulled out my copy of
Least Wanted again tonight. For those who don't know, it's a book of mugshots spanning from the 1800s through the 1970s. However, instead of celebrity or gangster mugshots, it focus' on everyday people which makes it so much more interesting. It is a really cool glimpse into the times the photos were taken. The photos somehow transcend from, as the book puts it, having a utilitarian function to being pieces of art. The book is also beautifully designed.
