Jim Flora

Today I checked out a Jim Flora book from the library. I feel like he is kind of overlooked by a lot of people today. Maybe I'm wrong. I hope so because his illustrations are so unique groundbreaking.

He did a lot of jazz album covers and other promo materials for record companies and illustrated childrens books in the 1940s and 50s, pioneering this style of illustration. I really want to buy some books on him because I could look at these things all day.

More here and here.
